** The End, The End, The End

No this is really the beginning. So much information and so little time to get it done. Very interested in a lot of things but some of them were of no interest at all. It is all a learning curve and the fact that we learn new words and have a bit of an idea what people are talking about makes it a bit worthwhile. To impress the kids when I said I had a blog was one of the good bits. Putting the animals on a billboard was fun. Finding the cats on YouTube was ok but I stumbled onto that one. Luckily or I wouldn't have bothered. Rollyo and RSS didn't cut it with me. Podcasts..well not so much. Audio books would be worth pursuing. Overall it was good to get a cross section of the technology that is out there and to know what a bit of the future holds for library land.

**22 Audio Books

I would like to peruse this one a lot more. As I drive a long, long way in the car and the mobile library, I always have an Audio Book on cd or tape. I would be interested in finding what I can download to be able to get in touch with more obscure things that the library may not have. Very technical but would probably use it.

**21 Podcasts

This one was a bit like YouTube but not even as interesting. I would put it in the same class as YouTube as a fair bit of rubbishy stuff.

**20 YouTube

There is so much rubbish on this site. I get some emails from people and a lot are good but browsing on the YouTube site is very timewasting. I found this one with the talking cats.

**19 Discovering Web 2.0 Tools.

I liked having a look at this one. I went the the winners list and clicked onto Real Estate and Travel ones that were listed. These are areas that I am interested in and I'm sure that if there was more time to check them out, I would find many more.

**18 Online Wordprocessing and Spreadsheets.

Very impressive. That would be a good one to share with others. I"ll have to remember this one.

**17 Playing around with Wikis

All I can say is I did it and it worked. Wonders will never cease. Did well.

Very interesting. Enjoyed doing that one.

**15 On Library 2.0 and Web 2.0

I like the title of Away from the icebergs, not necessarily the passages that were to be read. We have to keep up with the tech age but I would like to keep the person to person aspect of things.

Didn't see anything that was a surprise. It was too busy an area to really study and to find anything. I would tell people about it but I don't know if I would ever use it. Never say never.

On Topix I spotted Ask Jeeves that I have seen before
Google - always use
Technorati - have to look at another time when I have time.

**8 News Feeds

RSS was interesting to look at. Good to take time and be able to study everything that I saw at a later date.

**10 Play week

This was fun. Another picture of the animals. Found the template for the billboard at http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/billboard.php. Hope it looks ok. I would change the colour of the text if I did it again.

**5, **6, **7 Photos and Images

Hi all. I don't understand much of this and there is not a lot of time to complete this properly. I had a lot of fun taking this photo. There is no way that three people can take a photo of three animals and have them all looking happy. The technology for doing this is amazing. I would love to take more of an advantage and have a lot more of a play. Don't know when I would use it but maybe in the future if maybe I met someone interstate or overseas then I could get creative and have a better go at this. Very interesting.

Hi all. Back again after a little time away from the computer. Will endeavour to get started again with Learning 2.0. Well done to all who have finished and now to get organized to motor on and finish.

Week 2 Blogging

Hi all. Working through everything that has to be done. Writing down passwords and user names and remembering them. It will take a bit of practice to remember where to find things to edit. Hope everyone is doing ok with it.

Places to go, people to see, things to do

Just getting started with this blog stuff. Kids know what to do and have no trouble. A very steep learning curve for me. I know it will all become clearer later. Stay tuned for more.
